Accessible launch sites
Accessible launch sites need a number of Key characteristics
These include
- Car parking, preferably designated accessible parking
- Accessible toilet, preferably with space to change
- Barrier free, level access from the car park to the toilet and the launch site
- A gently sloping concrete / hard packed slip way or accessible pontoon / jetty




Lymington accessible launch site information





Lymington launch site is located Lymington Quay Hill, Lymington SO41 3AT
The car park has several accessible parking spaces and parking is free if you have a blue badge. From the car park to the accessible toilet and onto the slip way is approximately 60m and barrier free.
The accessible toilet is opened using a radar key. The room is larger than a normal accessible toilet and the toilet and sink are in good condition. However it does not have a shower, bench or chair to help with changing.
The slip way is gently sloping and well maintained. The water is tidal (only 1-2m) and leads into lymington harbour. The harbour can get busy so be observant when launching and paddling.
Mudeford, Dorset accessible launch site information




Mudeford Quay Slipway launch site is located 6 Haven Cottages, Christchurch BH23 4AB
The car park has 7 accessible parking spaces. Parking is NOT free even if you have a blue badge. From the car park to the accessible toilet and onto the slip way is approximately 150m and barrier free.
The accessible toilet is opened using a radar key. The room is quite small for an accessible toilet. The toilet and sink are in good condition. However it does not have a shower, bench or chair to help with changing.
The slip way is gently sloping and well maintained. The water is tidal (only 1-2m) and leads into Christchurch harbour. The harbour can get busy so be observant when launching and paddling.
